Impossible Differential Cryptanalysis on Deoxys-BC-256
Deoxys is a final-round candidate of the CAESAR competition. Deoxys is built upon an internal tweakable block cipher Deoxys-BC, where in addition to the plaintext and key, it takes an extra non-secret input called a tweak. This paper presents the first impossible differential cryptanalysis of Deoxys-BC-256 which is used in Deoxys as an internal tweakable block cipher. First, we find a 4.5-round...
متن کاملImpossible Measurements on Quantum Fields*
It is shown that the attempt to extend the notion of ideal measurement to quantum field theory leads to a conflict with locality, because (for most observables) the state vector reduction associated with an ideal measurement acts to transmit information faster than light. Two examples of such information-transfer are given, first in the quantum mechanics of a pair of coupled subsystems, and the...
متن کاملNote on Impossible Differential Attacks
While impossible di erential cryptanalysis is a well-known and popular cryptanalytic method, errors in the analysis are often discovered and many papers in the literature present aws. Wishing to solve that, Boura et al. [1] presented at ASIACRYPT'14 a generic vision of impossible di erential attacks with the aim of simplifying and helping the construction and veri cation of this type of cryptan...
متن کاملon semihypergroups and hypergroups
in this thesis, first the notion of weak mutual associativity (w.m.a.) and the necessary and sufficient condition for a $(l,gamma)$-associated hypersemigroup $(h, ast)$ derived from some family of $lesssim$-preordered semigroups to be a hypergroup, are given. second, by proving the fact that the concrete categories, semihypergroups and hypergroups have not free objects we will introduce t...
15 صفحه اولImpossible Diierential on 8-round Mars' Core
MARS is one of the AES nalists. The up-to-date analysis of MARS includes the discovery of weak keys, and Biham's estimation that a 12round variant of MARS is breakable. This estimation was partly founded based on a 7-round impossible di erential of the core of MARS. However, no such attack was presented to-date. In this paper we present two new longer impossible di erentials of 8 rounds.
